QUESTIONS?
EMAIL Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status. Assist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems using Dentrix. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling documentation review meticulously. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding standards. Experience working with pediatric patients and understanding pediatric dentistry principles is a plus. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and medical records management ensures compliance and professionalism. Previous dental office or clinic experience that showcases your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
