Job Description
Royal Oak Family Dental - Oklahoma City, OK Royal Oak Family Dental is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable and patient-centered dental practice. The ideal candidate is passionate about preventive care, patient education, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming clinical environment. This role plays a vital part in patient assessment, oral health management, and supporting the clinical team to deliver exceptional care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including scaling, polishing, and plaque/tartar removal Conduct thorough patient assessments, including review of medical history and vital signs Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and recommended treatment plans Assist the dentist during procedures using effective chairside and four-handed dentistry techniques Capture and interpret dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation within EMR systems while ensuring HIPAA compliance Review medical records and clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, OSHA standards, and aseptic techniques Manage patient flow efficiently to support a positive patient experience Stay current on dental terminology, general dentistry procedures, and applicable medical coding standards Qualifications Current and valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Oklahoma Strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix Experience in pediatric dentistry preferred Familiarity with four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting techniques Experience with dental radiography and medical imaging Excellent communication, organizational, and patient education skills Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality care and patient safety What We Offer Supportive, team-focused work environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health Consistent schedule in a family-oriented practice Competitive compensation based on experience Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the clinical area for extended periods Manual dexterity to perform clinical procedures Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed Equal Opportunity Employer Royal Oak Family Dental is an Equal Opportunity Employer .
