Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and have a strong understanding of dental practices, including general and pediatric dentistry. This role involves working closely with patients to promote oral health and assist in various dental procedures while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate oral health and identify potential issues. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate instruments. Review documentation and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with clinic protocols. Assist in the implementation of preventive dental care programs for patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Collaborate with dentists to provide four-handed dentistry during procedures. Utilize OpenDental or similar systems for patient management and documentation. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control procedures. Experience Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with OpenDental software is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding and documentation review processes is advantageous. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Experience in pediatric dentistry is beneficial but not required.
