Job Description

Description Smilebuilderz is a well-established and patient-focused multi specialty dental office dedicated to providing high-quality oral healthcare services to the Lancaster community. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. If you are a licensed dental professional committed to promoting oral health and patient education, we invite you to apply for this rewarding opportunity. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be an integral part of our dental care team, responsible for delivering comprehensive dental hygiene services to our patients. Your primary focus will be on preventative care, patient education, and assisting the dentist in promoting optimal oral health. Requirements 1.
Patient Care:
Conduct thorough dental hygiene assessments and examinations. Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and disease prevention. Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as needed. 2.
Treatment Planning:
Collaborate with the dentist to develop and implement personalized treatment plans. Document patient treatment records accurately and comprehensively. 3.
Periodontal Therapy:
Monitor and assess patients for signs of periodontal disease. 4.
Patient Communication:
Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and oral health education. Provide post-treatment instructions and follow-up recommendations. 5.
Infection Control:
Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment. Follow established guidelines for instrument sterilization and equipment maintenance. 6.
Continuing Education:
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications:
Current state licensure as a Dental Hygienist in Pennsylvania. CPR certification. Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program. Strong clinical and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and patient education abilities. Proficiency in using dental software for record-keeping. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
