Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a welcoming, professional environment. In this role, you will utilize your clinical skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive hygiene services, promote oral health education, and support the overall success of our dental practice. Your energetic approach will help foster positive patient experiences . This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise in general dentistry within a collaborative team. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and calculus while ensuring patient comfort. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical records, vital signs, and medical history to tailor treatment plans effectively. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to enhance their understanding of dental health. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, medical records, and clinical notes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix. Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures. Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, and documentation review processes. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health, medical terminology, and infection control standards. Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, medical imaging techniques, and medical records management.
