PM Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our family-oriented practice in Lancaster, PA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a strong commitment to oral health education, and the ability to create a fun and positive experience for young patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments. Take and interpret digital X-rays as required. Educate children and their parents on oral hygiene practices and cavity prevention. Assist with dental sealant application and other preventive treatments. Build trusting relationships with young patients to reduce dental anxiety. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment, adhering to OSHA and HIPAA standards. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure optimal patient care. Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
Requirements Qualifications:
Valid Dental Hygiene license in Pennsylvania. Certification to administer local anesthesia in Pennsylvania (preferred but not required). Pediatric experience or a genuine passion for working with children. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young patients and their families. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Current CPR/BLS certification.
