Dental Hygienist (Part-time)

Overview We are urgently seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures, providing chairside support during treatments. Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures. Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment. Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient care strategies and outcomes. Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry practices. Skills Proficient in using Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for patient management. Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and practices. Experience with chairside assisting and general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with medical coding, EMR systems, and documentation review processes. Understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health and infection control measures. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health topics. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while demonstrating compassion and professionalism. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
