Indianapolis, IN Job Details Full-time | Contract Up to $32 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Oral hygiene Content development Conducting training sessions Community relationship building Teaching Educational content composition projects Full Job Description About the Role We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Oral Health Educator to lead oral health awareness and education initiatives across skilled nursing facilities, schools, early learning centers, and community settings. This role is focused on improving oral health outcomes by training caregivers, educators, healthcare staff, and families on preventive care, oral hygiene best practices, and health education strategies. You will play a key role in empowering Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), school nurses, educators, and community partners with the tools and knowledge needed to support better oral health across vulnerable populations. Key Responsibilities Training & Education Develop and deliver engaging workshops and training sessions on oral health best practices Educate CNAs, school nurses, educators, early learning staff, and community partners Adapt training content for diverse audiences and care settings Resource Development Create educational materials including brochures, posters, guides, checklists, videos, and digital content Ensure materials are culturally appropriate, accessible, and easy to understand Collaboration & Partnerships Work closely with skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations Align oral health education with institutional care protocols and school health programs Oral Health Advocacy Promote the importance of oral health in overall health and wellness Advocate for preventive care, especially for elderly populations, children, and high-risk groups Outreach & Community Engagement Support planning and execution of health fairs, school programs, and community outreach events Participate in public health campaigns to improve oral health awareness Program Support & Evaluation Assist with program planning, budgeting, and grant-related activities Collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness Prepare reports and recommend improvements to enhance outcomes Ongoing Support Serve as a resource for CNAs, educators, and healthcare teams Provide ongoing guidance on oral health challenges and solutions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene, Public Health, Education, or a related field Certification or formal training in Dental Hygiene or a related discipline Minimum 1-2 years of experience in health education or training delivery Strong knowledge of oral hygiene practices, dental conditions, and preventive care strategies Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to develop clear, engaging, and culturally sensitive educational materials
Pay:
