Please note, this role is not a remote position and requires the candidate to be present at our dental office to carry out their duties effectively. As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Cornerstone Dental PLLC, you will be an integral part of our team, working directly with patients to ensure the best dental care. This role demands precision and compassion, with a strong emphasis on ensuring patient comfort while conducting oral assessments and hygiene treatments. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct initial dental assessments and diagnose patients' oral health condition. Perform dental prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications. Take dental X-rays as required and interpret them for treatment planning. Educate patients on maintaining proper oral hygiene and preventive dental care. Document patient care and maintain accurate patient records adhering to the clinic and industry standards. Collaborate with dentists to plan treatments and care for periodontal diseases. Manage time effectively to schedule and treat patients in a timely manner. Ensure the sterility and proper maintenance of equipment and tools used in treatments. Update patient history and document dental treatment for future reference and legal requirements. Administer local anesthesia for dental procedures as needed. Engage in ongoing education and training to stay updated with the latest in dental hygiene and dentistry. Requirements Must hold a valid dental hygiene license in the state of Arizona. Certification in local anesthesia permitted in the state of Arizona. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a dental practice preferred. Proficiency in using dental record software and managing patient records digitally. Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Keen attention to detail and the ability to work meticulously with tools and small objects. A commitment to ethical practices and maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Strong educational foundation in dental hygiene practices, patient care, and treatment planning.
