Dental Hygienist

Job Summary We are a General Dentistry practice located in Antioch, TN. We are currently in need of an experienced Hygienist. This is a contract position for 2 months beginning in July, 2026. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, assist with patient assessments, and support the clinical team in creating a comfortable, efficient environment. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and dental examinations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system. Follow infection control procedures aligned with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and prevent cross-contamination. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in general dentistry. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques, including handling dental instruments and managing patient comfort during procedures. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate seamlessly with the clinical team.
