Registered Dental Hygienist Bills Avenue Dental Job Description We are excited to announce a career opportunity for a Registered Dental Hygienist at Bills Avenue Dental. We are looking for a dedicated and caring professional to join our team. This position is ideal for someone seeking a Part-Time role, as your services will be needed on Mondays and Thursdays from 7am to 4pm, with an hour allocated for lunch. Please note, this is not a remote position, and the successful candidate will be required to work onsite at our well-equipped dental facility. Benefits are PTO and major holiday pay. As a Registered Dental Hygienist with us, you will play a pivotal role in our team, directly contributing to the oral health and overall well-being of our patients. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patient for dental examinations. Perform routine dental cleanings and assist in the prevention of dental diseases. Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides). Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as required. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling). Assess patient oral hygiene and overall health, identifying areas of concern. Document patient dental history and treatment plans for future visits. Work closely with the dentist to discuss treatment plans and patient care. Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures. Participate in the assessment of the effectiveness of dental interventions and the overall health of the community dental program. Collaborate with other team members to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. Stay updated with the latest trends in dental technology and hygiene practices. Requirements Must be a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of Tennessee. Associates or bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program. Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Dental Hygienist. Proficient in using dental office software and digital radiography. Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on patient education and relationship building. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work Mondays and Thursdays from 7am to 4pm. Commitment to adhering to all safety and infection control standards. Current CPR certification. Enthusiasm for continued education and professional development.
