FULL TIME

Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. We have a small office with only one hygiene position - so you're the one! The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all patients. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and evaluating periodontal health. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing while utilizing aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed. Maintain infection control standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Document patient care accurately in the dental office management system, including medical coding when necessary. Work effectively with pediatric patients to ensure a positive experience during their visits. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Nitrous monitoring license preferrred. Proficiency in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry. Experience working in a dental office environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required. Pay:

$45.00 - $50.00 per hour
