Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately in patient records. Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing techniques, and preventive care strategies to maintain healthy teeth and gums. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Provide patient comfort measures and address questions or concerns with enthusiasm and professionalism. Maintain strict infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and preparing treatment areas for each patient. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional regulations. Proven experience in dental hygiene or a related healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for new graduates. Strong knowledge of oral anatomy, dental procedures, and infection control practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients of all ages.
