Registered Dental Hygienist 10920 Fry Road, Cypress, TX 77433 From $48 an hour - Full-time From $48 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help promote optimal oral health and foster lasting relationships with our diverse patient community. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment. Monitor vital signs and assess overall patient health as part of comprehensive care, especially in pediatric dentistry settings. Support the dental team with chairside assisting during various procedures while maintaining a high standard of patient care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Experience Proven experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding practices. Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable, along with understanding pediatric dentistry best practices. Strong skills in chairside assisting, medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and patient assessment are essential. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while demonstrating professionalism and empathy. Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred but not required; ongoing continuing education is encouraged. Join us in making a difference through exceptional dental care!
