Dental Hygienist

Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while ensuring proper aseptic technique and infection control protocols Assess patient vital signs and medical history to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain sterilization standards and manage infection control procedures in accordance with dental office guidelines Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental procedures Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting and record keeping Experience with pediatric dentistry, including working with children in a pediatric dentistry setting or similar environment Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently to optimize patient care and clinic productivity Excellent communication skills for patient care, education, and collaboration within the team Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through compassionate care, technical excellence, and a commitment to health and safety!
