Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral health care! In this role, you will be a crucial asset to our practice, stepping in to manage your own schedule and handle preventative care to help offload our principal owner dentist. We are seeking a self-driven, autonomous professional who can confidently manage their chair, provide top-tier care, and keep the hygiene department running efficiently. Responsibilities Proactive Care & Cleanings:
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Independent Schedule Management:
Maintain a self-driven approach to managing your daily patient flow, ensuring excellent time management, efficiency, and a seamless patient experience.
Patient Assessments:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, evaluating periodontal health, checking vital signs, and noting current dental conditions.
Patient Education:
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, periodontal health, and necessary treatment options.
Diagnostics & Imaging:
Take and develop high-quality medical imaging (X-rays) while adhering strictly to safety and infection control protocols.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate and detailed dental records in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Team Collaboration:
Support the overall flow of the practice, occasionally performing chairside assisting duties or collaborating with the team when needed to ensure optimal clinic efficiency. Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) in the state of Texas. A self-motivated, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage a hygiene schedule smoothly. Proven experience in dental office settings, with knowledge of general dentistry procedures; familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is preferred. Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology, infection control, aseptic technique, and dental anatomy. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with diverse patient populations.
