Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic role, you will utilize your expertise in dental hygiene to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, and educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current health status to tailor appropriate treatment plans. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient experience. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, medical records, and dental charts in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately. Laser certification is a plus Experience Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in dental office environments with familiarity in general dentistry settings. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding practices. Hands-on experience with Open Dental is highly preferred and digital radiography. Demonstrated ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of infection prevention and aseptic technique.
