Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic role, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, and educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles. You'll work closely with our dental professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations, uphold infection control standards, and provide a welcoming environment for all patients. Your dedication will help transform dental visits into positive experiences that foster long-term oral health habits. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Take and interpret dental imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in Dentrix Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to ensure patient and staff safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations Experience Previous experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to accurately document procedures Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling, record keeping, and documentation review Strong understanding of infection control protocols, sterilization procedures, and aseptic technique standards Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse age groups including pediatrics Experience in chairside assisting combined with a solid foundation in general dentistry practices will set you apart Join us in making a difference—where your skills meet your passion for creating healthier smiles!
