The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and terminology. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment committed to delivering exceptional oral health services. Our office strongly believes in true one‑on‑one patient care , prioritizing quality over an overbooked schedule. We take pride in practicing a more traditional, personalized approach to dentistry , where every individual receives the time and attention they deserve. The Dental Hygienist will play a key role in delivering preventive care, educating patients, and maintaining accurate medical records within a compliant and sterile setting. This full‑time position is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM . Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental condition. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records using Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Monitor vital signs and identify any medical concerns that may impact dental treatment. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Review medical records for documentation accuracy and assist with medical coding when necessary. Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and pediatric patient management. Experience with four-handed dentistry for efficient workflow. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively during various procedures. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medical imaging, and medical records management. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse patient needs including pediatrics. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, documentation review, and medical coding standards. Prior experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments is highly desirable.
