In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessing oral health, and supporting our dentist with various clinical procedures. Your expertise in dental hygiene, patient education, and infection control will help ensure a positive experience for every patient while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to community health and foster lasting patient relationships in a welcoming environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains. Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Assist dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to proper aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and practicing proper documentation review for quality assurance. Hours We are offering very flexible hours. The schedule will be pre-arranged through mutual agreement between the hygienist and office.
Pay:
$40.00 - $46.00 per hour
