We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Bilingual Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment, ensuring patients receive thorough cleanings, education on oral health, and personalized treatment plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a fast-paced, supportive setting. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages. Assess patient vital signs and medical history to ensure safe and effective treatment procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options in both English and Spanish. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with excellent communication skills in both languages. Demonstrated experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Familiarity with dental equipment operation, X-ray techniques, and infection prevention management standards. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
