In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for at every visit. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for each patient Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs and intra-oral pictures. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to safeguard patient safety and prevent cross-contamination Collaborate with dentists and other team members to coordinate patient care, review documentation, and ensure seamless treatment delivery. We are open to considering both full-time and part-time applicants who want to maintain their valuable dental skills while taking care of family responsibilities Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification Proven experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments with proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures Ability to perform four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency during procedures Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical records management to support comprehensive patient assessment We want applicants who can easily engage with our great patients who have experience in recognizing and appreciating excellent care from our excellent hygienists.
