Job Description

Overview We are a busy, locally-owned, single-dentist general practice. We pride ourselves on treating our patients as family. We are looking for a self-motivated, hardworking, team-oriented hygienist to join our team. Benefits that we offer include PTO, holidays, retirement fund, health insurance (must be eligible). We are looking for someone full time Monday - Thursday but would be open to discussing part time as well. Pay will be determined by experience and a bonus system is available for those who are productive. If interested, please send resume. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Take X-rays while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding and compliance. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic health record (EHR) sin Eaglesoft. Adhere to HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing sensitive medical information responsibly. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical coding standards. Experience with pediatric dentistry procedures and working with children in a compassionate manner is a plus. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation of treatments and patient interactions. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and general healthcare practices. Demonstrated commitment to infection prevention practices including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures.
