Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of dental health practices. As a key member of our dental practice, you will provide preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health maintenance, and support the overall efficiency of the practice. Your expertise will help ensure a comfortable, safe, and positive experience for all patients. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup, fluoride treatments, and taking dental radiographs. Perform local anesthesia for Scaling and Root Planing. Educate patients on periodontal maintenance and periodontal disease. Conduct thorough patient assessments by evaluating medical history, and oral health status. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and preventive care strategies. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR systems. Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop individualized treatment plans for restorative and periodontal treatment. Review medical records and documentation to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and team members clearly. Skills Proficiency in dental software for scheduling, record keeping, and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Experience with all patient procedures and working in a compassionate manner. Excellent patient care skills with an emphasis on communication, empathy, and professionalism.
