" Responsibilities Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients of all ages, emphasizing patient education and comfort. Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations to inform treatment plans. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dental terminology, and treatment options to promote long-term oral health. Collaborate seamlessly with dentists and other team members to ensure smooth clinic operations while maintaining a positive attitude free of drama or corporate bureaucracy. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Experience with pediatric dentistry, including pediatric patient care and behavior management strategies. Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow. Ability to perform vital signs assessment, medical imaging (X-rays), and basic medical coding accurately. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatrics and general dentistry patients. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
