Experience is preferred, and a current dental hygienist license is required. We are seeking someone to cover three days per week , with the possibility of increasing days in the future. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Properly sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection control standards Conduct initial oral health screenings and review patient health histories Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g., remove plaque, apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene and preventive care Provide post-treatment instructions following dental procedures Take dental X-rays and impressions as needed Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various oral health conditions Maintain accurate patient charts and documentation Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and equipment Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role preferred In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA compliance) Experience preparing, maintaining, and using dental equipment Excellent communication and patient-care skills Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude Strong attention to detail Ability to meet the physical demands of the position Diploma in Dental Hygiene (Master's degree is a plus) Valid Dental Hygienist license Schedule Part-time Three days per week Opportunity for additional days in the future Compensation $60-$70 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
