Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dentist in maintaining optimal oral health for patients. Key Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) Conduct oral health assessments and record patient medical histories Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Identify signs of oral disease and communicate findings to the dentist Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed Maintain accurate and complete patient records Sterilize instruments and follow infection control protocols Ensure patient comfort and address questions or concerns Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Valid state license to practice dental hygiene Current CPR/BLS certification Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and infection control standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Skills Experience with dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care Work Environment Clinical dental office setting Prolonged periods of standing and fine motor work Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Compensation & Benefits (optional) Competitive hourly wage Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Continuing education opportunities
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
