Dental Hygienist

• Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care and promote oral health in a professional and compassionate manner.

• Duties:

• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, root planning and scaling, and polishing teeth
• Take x-rays
• Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental software (Dentrix)
• Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean dental office environment
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care

Qualifications:

• Valid dental hygiene license in WV
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Familiarity with medical documentation and electronic health records systems
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate patient assessment.
