Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team on Mondays and Wednesdays 8am - 5pm. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education while supporting the overall health and well-being of our patients. Your expertise in dental hygiene, combined with your compassionate approach, will ensure a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking medical histories, documenting findings accurately, and schedule recare appointments in Dentrix. Ensure infection control protocols and aseptic techniques are strictly followed. Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care. Take recommended X-rays while maintaining radiation safety measures. Comply with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times. Skills Proficiency in dental software applications in Dentrix for documentation, x rays, personal payments and appointment scheduling. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Skilled in taking dental imaging and assessing overall patient health status. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health practices and treatment options. $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
