Dental Hygienist

Duties Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Review medical histories and documentation to ensure accurate patient records while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Capture and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Perform patient assessments by reviewing medical and dental histories, ensuring thorough understanding of individual needs. Requirements Proven experience working in dental offices or clinics with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform pediatric dentistry procedures and work effectively with pediatric patients. Knowledge of medical coding, medical terminology, and medical records management for accurate documentation. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to ensure seamless recordkeeping. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations.
