Job Description

Job Summary Join our dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise in dental hygiene, patient assessment, and infection control to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients of all ages. Your skills in dental terminology, medical imaging, and documentation review will support accurate record-keeping and treatment planning. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and evaluating oral health status. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort. Manage medical records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Take and interpret dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards. Review documentation for accuracy, update medical coding as needed, and ensure thorough recordkeeping for each patient visit. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in dental office settings with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with dental terminology, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with medical coding is a plus. Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric dentistry principles. Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
