Job Description

Base Pay:
$22.00 - $32.50 / hour
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the cleaning and sterilization of instrumentation and equipment. Manages stocking of supplies, linens and paper goods. Maintains cleanliness and order of sterilization room. Operatory breakdown and set up. Assistance to RDA, DA's.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembles, sterilizes and dispenses instruments, equipment and instrument trays to examination rooms and all clinical areas. Receives or picks up soiled instruments, equipment and utensils from clinical areas for cleaning, sanitizing and sterilization. Provides emergency supply or equipment location and delivery as needed. Assists personnel with specific procedure tray contents and design. Service maintenance of instruments and equipment. Performs testing and maintains records required on equipment. Accurately stocks and distributes supplies and equipment. Routinely inventories areas and replenishes supplies as needed. Rotates perishable stock. Adhere to inventory and ordering procedures. Removes all empty boxes from the supply areas and takes them to the recycling bin. Develop, mount and duplicate x-rays. Radiograph patient if licensed. Assist the clinical staff as needed, to include but not limited to seating patients, taking blood pressure, review paperwork and health history with patients. Other duties and projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of aseptic techniques. Good time management skills. Strong orientation to detail and careful follow through of all tasks.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. CPR certification (or ability to obtain within two weeks)
Dental Board of California Approved:
Infection Control and OSHA course certification
Dental Board of California Mandatory:
Dental Practice Act/ Law and Ethics certification (or ability to obtain within one year)

Dental Board of California Approved:
Radiation Safety Course certification
