  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD/CAM Dental Laboratory Technician to join our innovative dental laboratory team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental fabrication, proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) technologies, and a comprehensive understanding of dental anatomy and terminology. The CAD Scanner Level 2 independently scans and prepares dental cases across crown & bridge, implant, and removable workflows. This role ensures high-quality digital inputs, meets production targets, and improves scanning efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Case Scanning & Prep Scan crown & bridge, implant, and removable cases with minimal supervision Ensure clear margins, proper articulation, and complete datasets Organize and assign digital files accurately in the system Resolve common scan issues (voids, misalignment, distortions) Quality Control Perform QC prior to design handoff Validate occlusion, margins, and model integrity Escalate complex or unclear cases as needed Production & Throughput Manage daily queue to meet turnaround times Prioritize cases based on schedule and urgency Support expedited and same-day workflows Optimization Improve scan speed, accuracy, and first-pass yield Reduce rescans and downstream errors Support standardization of scanning processes Equipment Operate, maintain, and calibrate scanning equipment Troubleshoot basic issues and escalate when needed Qualifications 2+ years dental lab experience; scanning/CAD-CAM preferred Experience with crown & bridge and/or implant cases Familiarity with systems like 3Shape, Exocad 3Shape Desktop Scanner (E4, F8), DOF Freedom Scanner Strong attention to detail and time management Performance Expectations Meet daily scan volume targets Low rescan rate / high first-pass acceptance On-time case delivery Contribution to workflow efficiency and error reduction
