Polishing Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Zirconia Finishing & Fitting Technician to join our dental laboratory team. This role is responsible for the precise fitting, contouring, and adjustment of zirconia restorations to ensure proper function, fit, and esthetics. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental lab procedures, crown and bridge restorations, and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Fit zirconia crowns and restorations into dies/models to verify accuracy and proper seating. Adjust interproximal contacts to ensure proper spacing and fit between adjacent teeth. Evaluate and adjust occlusion (bite) for proper alignment and functionality. Refine and adjust margins to achieve accurate adaptation and precise fit. Perform contouring, smoothing, and finishing of zirconia restorations to meet quality standards. Inspect restorations for defects, fit discrepancies, and esthetic quality before final approval. Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure timely completion of cases. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper handling of dental laboratory materials and equipment. Follow prescribed workflows, quality control procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a dental laboratory, specifically with zirconia crown finishing and fitting , preferred. Knowledge of crown and bridge anatomy, occlusion, margins, and interproximal contacts. Strong hand dexterity and attention to detail. Ability to work with dental tools, rotary instruments, and polishing equipment. Understanding of dental terminology and restorative procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cosmetic dental restorations. Knowledge of digital dental workflows and CAD/CAM restorations. Strong quality control and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and perform detailed handwork. Good vision and hand-eye coordination for precision adjustments.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
