As an RDA, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced dental technology and expand your expertise in various specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Your energetic approach and commitment to excellence will help create a welcoming atmosphere for every patient. Duties Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans, while adhering to strict HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy and confidentiality. Manage medical documentation and records accurately within EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting tasks such as taking vital signs, medical history updates, and explaining procedures to patients. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Support the dental team with administrative duties like scheduling appointments, managing medical coding for billing purposes, and coordinating patient flow efficiently. Requirements Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or certification in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with proficiency in dental assisting techniques. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining compliance with radiation safety standards. Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization protocols. Experience supporting pediatric dentistry is highly desirable; familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and support team collaboration.
