Job Description

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician opportunity specializing in denture fabrication at NDX Dynamic Dental Solutions in Jacksonville, FL . The regular hours for this position are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time. Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the
Position:
Read the prescription and all additional paperwork to establish the doctor's preferences. If there are any questions or discrepancies, see the manager. Evaluate model work and articulations to see if it meets standards Create base plates Create esthetic control bases Create bite rims Create Essix appliances Finish & Repair denture teeth on fully edentulous cases Finish & Repair denture teeth on partially edentulous cases Follow all steps, in order, according to the Technical Team Policies (TTPs) to insure consistent and accurate results Review final work and check completely that all quality standards have been met before passing the work to the next technician Keep work area clean All other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities Required:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Good hand-eye coordination, good manual dexterity, excellent perception skills and the strong ability to pay close attention to details Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve, using past experience and success to gauge best steps on future cases Verification in all applicable Technical Team Policies (TTPs) and the ability to apply knowledge from Technical Team Policies (TTPs) to the job
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum three (3) years of experience and is skilled in one or more of the skills associated with a
Removable Dental Laboratory Technician Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
Sharp instruments, knives and blades Wax solvent
Monomer Polymer Motorized Lathe Dental Handpiece Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions Good manual dexterity Ability to walk, sit and stand for long periods of time Repeated bending and kneeling Vision capabilities: Depth perception, attention to detail and/or color Push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 50 pounds Experience Required Minimum three (3) years of experience and is skilled in one or more of the skills associated with a Removable Dental Laboratory Technician Education Preferred High School or Equivalent or better
