Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Dental Sterilization Technician to join our dedicated dental team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, sterilization, and proper handling of dental instruments and equipment, supporting our clinicians in delivering safe and effective patient care. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop specialized skills within a collaborative healthcare setting. Duties Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following established protocols and safety standards. Manage inventory of sterilization supplies, ensuring all necessary materials are available and properly stored. Maintain detailed records of sterilization procedures for compliance and quality assurance purposes. Assist with the preparation of treatment rooms by organizing instruments and ensuring cleanliness before patient procedures. Follow strict aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination during instrument handling and sterilization processes. Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control regulations mandated by regulatory agencies. Support the team by providing timely instrument turnover to facilitate smooth clinical operations. Skills Strong knowledge of sterilization procedures and infection control standards within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with inventory management practices for medical supplies and sterilization materials. Basic understanding of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures. Proficiency in aseptic techniques to maintain sterile environments during instrument processing. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and inventory control. Ability to follow detailed protocols accurately while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills to collaborate with dental staff and support team members.
