Job Description

Our busy family dental practice is looking for a Dental Sterilization Technician/Hygiene Assistant. Our practice strives to provide the highest quality dental care to our patients while fostering a supportive and positive work culture for our staff. Job Summary:
The Dental Sterilization Technician/ Hygiene Assistant is responsible for ensuring all dental instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for use. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control within our dental practice.
Job Schedule :
Monday-Thursday 8AM-5
PM Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Clean, disinfect and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
  • Set up and breakdown of treatment rooms before and after procedures.
  • Ensure all supplies are stocked and ready for use.
  • Assist the hygiene team with daily operations.
  • Monitor and document sterilization cycles to ensure compliance with established protocols and safety standards.
  • Maintain an organized and clean sterilization area, including the disposal of sharps and biohazardous waste according to regulations.
  • Perform regular maintenance and testing of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Ordering of supplies and management of equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Follow all infection control procedures and occupational safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in dental sterilization or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
