Job Description:
The position is responsible for performing various production-related tasks during the process of producing ceramic dental restorations utilizing high-tech CAD/CAM manufacturing equipment and 3D printing technology.
The various tasks may include:
reviewing order submissions and specifications, data entry, barcode scanning, operation of CAM software, loading/unloading machines and sintering ovens, operation and maintenance of 3D printers, post-milling part finishing using an electric hand tool, QC inspections, and the use of 3D model scanners. The position may require performing preventative machine maintenance and tool changes for CNC milling machines. The organization is a very fast-paced, changing environment where superior customer service skills are the driving force. The ability to work independently as well as within groups is essential. Sensitivity to accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism in all areas of support activity is imperative. Position is exposed to both inside office and manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Completes production tasks by following approved procedures and processes Cross training required on various tasks Documentation of case status via barcode scanner and computer entry Ensures schedule production commitments are met and on time Maintains and troubleshoots all production equipment Make certain to prevent non-conformities relating to product, process and quality systems Ensures clean and safe working areas Capacity to follow procedures, determine priorities, stay organized and pay close attention to details Demonstrates clear written / spoken communication skills Demonstrates ability to work in a fast paced, team environment. Strong problem solving abilities with the ability to troubleshoot issues. Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues while paying attention to details Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations Ability to identify company and customers' needs Ability to follow direction and repeat processes in a quality and consistent manner Must be highly organized, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in teams Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other corporate databases. Dexterity to perform delicate post-milling operations on small parts with electric hand tools Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and effectively fulfill the essential functions of the position. Full ambulation.
Physical requirements include:
lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time Exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise Visual acuity with or without remedial measures. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Technician in a laboratory or dental office environment is preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with dentists and staff. Knowledge of laboratory systems and processes related to dental technology is beneficial.
