Full Job Description Position Profile:
As a Dental Technician specializing in metal casting and finishing, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality metal substructures for crowns, bridges, and other dental restorations. Your expertise will ensure precise casting and meticulous finishing, contributing to restorations that meet both functional and aesthetic requirements. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of dental anatomy and metalworking techniques.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Dental Technician -Metal Cast & Finish:
Cut out milled copings, bridges, and frameworks from milled wax puck. Remove supports from copings, bridges, and frameworks using a handpiece with a crosscut bur. Match copings, bridges, and frameworks to correct model/case pan, verify fit of wax substructures and validate margins are accurate on the trimmed die. Sprue wax substructures to ring former based on alloy type requested by doctor. Mix investment/liquid ratio based on specific alloy type to ensure accurate fit after casting. Perform metal casting for crowns, bridges, and frameworks using industry-standard alloys and techniques. Ensure castings meet precise specifications and resolve issues like porosity or voids. Operate and maintain casting equipment to lab standards. Trim, polish, and finish cast restorations to achieve proper fit, contours, and smoothness. Adjust margins, contacts, and occlusion to ensure restorations are functional and accurate. Prepare metal frameworks for porcelain application or other subsequent processes. Inspect castings and finished metalwork for defects and compliance with quality standards. Address and resolve any inconsistencies or challenges before finalizing the restorations. Work with various dental alloys, including high-noble, noble, and base metals, ensuring proper handling and storage. Coordinate with other technicians in the crown and bridge department to ensure seamless workflows. Communicate effectively to resolve case-specific challenges. Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot casting machines, polishing tools, and related equipment. Other duties as assigned.Workplace Expectations:

Expertise in working with dental alloys and precise casting techniques. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and restorative principles. Ability to identify and resolve issues with castings or metal frameworks. Familiarity with safety protocols and proper equipment handling. Strong attention to detail and precision in all work. Ability to interpret dental prescriptions and work independently. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of CAD/CAM workflows as they relate to metal restorations is a plus. Relevant certification or degree in dental technology is preferred. Other duties as assigned.Experience/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent. Required to engage with colleagues in a professional and courteous manner. Must have a keen eye for precision.Physical and Safety Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Stand or sit for long periods of time. Ability to safely operate gas powered heating equipment and high-speed rotary tools.Repetitive motion:
Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, or fingers.Acute visual abilities:
Fine visual acuity with the ability to inspect closely or to assemble small parts; color vision; or depth perception and/or field of vision.Finger dexterity:
