This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced dental professionals, supporting a wide range of dental procedures and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your skills in chairside assisting, medical documentation, and infection control will help create a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to support safe treatment planning Support four-handed dentistry techniques by handing instruments efficiently and maintaining a clean, organized work environment Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness Requirements Valid certification as a CDA or DA II from an accredited program; prior experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with Dentrix, familiarity with medical coding and documentation standards Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety Experience with dental radiography including X-ray procedures and 3D scanner operation is highly desirable Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques necessary for effective chairside assisting Ability to perform vital signs assessment and support medical imaging processes within the dental clinic setting Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and educating patients of all ages Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and technical excellence.
