Job Description

Our well-established private dental practice has proudly served the Sparks community for over 15 years and has built a reputation for exceptional patient care and a strong, supportive team culture. Join our amazing dental team as a Sterilization Technician/Hygiene Assistant where you will support our clinical team in providing a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and sterilizing dental instruments, managing inventory, maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols, taking x-rays and intra/extra oral photos, and understanding and updating patient records. 7:00 AM•4:00 PM Daily team huddle begins at 6:45 AM. What you'll do: Warmly greet patients and seat patients in operatories. Make them feel comfortable and welcome. Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments using approved sterilization equipment and techniques. Take x-rays and intra/extra oral photos Take and document patient's blood pressure Understand, review, and document patient health history Manage inventory levels of sterilized supplies and dental instruments, ensuring availability for daily procedures. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument logs, and inventory tracking to ensure compliance with health regulations. Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination. Assist dental assistants and hygienists with room setup, seating patients, and breaking down trays when needed. Clean, sanitize, and prepare dental treatment rooms between patients to ensure rapid, efficient clinical flow. Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
6 months to 1 year in a dental office environment preferred (willing to train the right candidate).
