Job Description

Pediatric Dental Surgery Center Join Our Team! We are a growing pediatric dental surgery center dedicated to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality care for children undergoing dental procedures under general anesthesia. We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Dental Assistant/Surgical Technologist to join our team. Position Summary The Dental Assistant/Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in supporting pediatric dental procedures performed under general anesthesia. This position assists dentists and clinical staff before, during, and after surgery while helping ensure a safe, efficient, and positive experience for patients and their families. Responsibilities Prepare and stock operating and procedure rooms for daily cases Assist dentists during pediatric dental procedures performed under general anesthesia Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards Prepare, organize, and pass instruments and supplies during procedures Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment Assist with patient positioning, room turnover, and post-procedure cleanup Monitor inventory and assist with ordering clinical supplies Accurately document patient information and clinical records as needed Support patient flow and contribute to a positive team environment Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and team members Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and accreditation standards Qualifications Dental Assisting certification preferred Experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, ambulatory surgery, or operating room settings preferred Current CPR/BLS certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire) Knowledge of sterilization procedures and infection prevention practices Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Passion for working with children and families What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Monday-Thursday schedule (no Fridays, evenings, weekends, or major holidays) Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Meaningful work helping children receive the dental care they need in a safe and comfortable setting About Us At Sleepytime Surgery Center, we specialize in providing pediatric dental treatment under general anesthesia in a safe, child-friendly environment.
