Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Sterilization Technician, where your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to infection control will ensure a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff. In this vital role, you will be responsible for sterilizing dental instruments, managing sterilization equipment, and maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques. Your efforts will directly contribute to the delivery of high-quality dental care by ensuring all tools are properly sanitized, organized, and ready for use. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in sterile processing within a fast-paced dental practice. Duties Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments using approved methods and equipment Operate sterilization machines such as autoclaves, ensuring they function correctly and efficiently Manage inventory of sterilized tools and supplies, tracking usage and reordering as needed Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, instrument logs, and quality control checks Ensure all instruments are correctly packaged and labeled according to safety standards Follow strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during processing and handling Assist with the organization of treatment rooms by preparing sterile instruments for upcoming procedures Requirements Knowledge of sterile processing procedures and infection control protocols in a healthcare setting Familiarity with inventory management systems for tracking supplies and sterilized instruments Understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to dental procedures to identify appropriate instrument handling Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and maintain meticulous records Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and sterilization processes Experience with aseptic technique principles to prevent cross-contamination during instrument handling Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing sterilization cycles and inventory Join us in delivering exceptional dental care by ensuring every instrument is safe, sterile, and ready for use.
