Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Sterilization Technician. In this vital role, you will ensure that all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and ready for use, supporting the delivery of high-quality dental care. Your expertise in sterile processing and infection control will help create a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff. Responsibilities Prepare, clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols. Manage inventory of sterilized supplies, ensuring all items are correctly labeled, stored, and readily accessible for clinical use. Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument usage, and inventory levels to ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist in the setup of treatment areas by organizing sterile supplies and ensuring all instruments are properly maintained. Follow detailed procedures related to infection control standards, including proper handling of contaminated instruments and disposal of biohazard waste. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for scheduled procedures. Stay updated on best practices in sterile processing, infection prevention, and relevant safety guidelines. Experience Prior experience in sterile processing or medical instrument sterilization is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology enhances understanding of dental procedures and instrument handling. Familiarity with inventory management systems helps maintain organized supplies and streamline workflow. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control standards is essential for ensuring patient safety. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow detailed protocols are critical for success in this role. $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
