Job Description
Skills:
- Must have prior orthodontic experience
- Experience with medical imaging, such as digital radiography
- Familiarity with dentrix systems
- Strong assisting skills, including chairside assistance during procedures
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions accurately
Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist in providing high-quality orthodontic care to patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Document patient information and treatment plans in electronic medical records system
- Assist with dental procedures, including placing and removing orthodontic appliances
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliances
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and ensure aseptic technique is followed As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the orthodontist in providing exceptional patient care.
