Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Dental Lab Technician specializing in Model Work to join our dynamic dental laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise dental models, working closely with dentists and dental assistants to ensure accurate representations of patients' oral structures. Your expertise will contribute to the fabrication of crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic devices, supporting optimal patient outcomes. Duties Fabricate accurate dental models using various materials such as plaster, stone, and resins based on detailed prescriptions from dental professionals Prepare and pour impression materials to create precise replicas of patients' oral anatomy Use laboratory tools including micrometers and other measuring devices to ensure dimensional accuracy Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile workspace Collaborate with the dental team to interpret clinical notes, medical records, and dental terminology for accurate model creation Maintain detailed documentation of each case within electronic medical record (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations Assist in the setup and calibration of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for digital model fabrication when applicable Ensure all laboratory work complies with industry standards for quality and safety, including infection control procedures Precise die trimming for higher compensation Skills Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology to accurately interpret clinical instructions Experience with dental fabrication techniques, including working with various impression materials and laboratory equipment Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools for detailed work Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for managing patient records securely Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a dental laboratory environment Ability to read and interpret medical imaging and clinical notes for precise model construction Basic knowledge of CAD software used in digital dentistry workflows Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work efficiently under deadlines Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical documentation practices Pioneering mindset towards adopting new technologies like digital impression scanning or 3D printing in model work Join us in delivering exceptional dental solutions by combining your technical expertise with a passion for craftsmanship.
