Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and collect patient blood samples per physician orders. Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning, and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks. Ensure all protocols are followed. Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations. Must be comfortable working around blood and needles. This position requires frequent, prolonged periods of standing.
