Job Description

Experienced and energetic individuals needed to join the team as Dialysis Technician Independent Dialysis Foundation Inc. (IDF) is an over 45 year old Maryland Non Profit Dialysis company focused on delivery of quality patient care and career satisfaction of our clinicians. Over a third of our talented staff have been with IDF for an average of 20 years. Our Calvert Center located in Prince Frederick Maryland is a 15 station clinic open Monday through Saturday. Full-time schedule is 36-40 hours weekly, staff work every other Saturday. One yearprevious dialysis experience preferred. IDF encourages and supports staff acquiring Advanced Certifications. Over a third of our talented staff have been with the company for an average of 20 years.

Medical and Child Care Flexible Spending Accounts Tuition Reimbursement On-site parking Major Duties for this position include but are not limited to: Act as an advocate, assist the patient in seeking information, assure the patient has the opportunity for informed consent for treatment decisions, and promote the maximal level of patient-desired independence. Administer patient care in a safe, confidential, and respectful manner. Apply the principles of dialysis to the technique of dialysis by safely initiating, monitoring, and discontinuing dialysis on a variety of patients with fistulas, grafts, and vascular and peritoneal catheters, via the dialysis machine and using other ancillary equipment. Apply interpersonal relationship skills in the healthcare workplace. Assist other health care personnel in the delivery of patient care. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be a high school graduate or have GED. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
