Contract Job Duties:
Monitor patients throughout hemodialysis treatments and promptly communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Provide direct patient care under RN supervision. Assist in responding to medical emergencies and urgent patient situations. Reinforce patient education and treatment plans. Prepare, operate, monitor, and disinfect dialysis equipment. Perform cannulation procedures and machine setup according to established protocols. Monitor and adjust dialysis therapy within scope of practice to meet individual patient needs. Administer normal saline through the extracorporeal system. Administer intradermal 2% xylocaine when ordered by a physician. Instill prescribed anticoagulants (heparin, normal saline, or 4% sodium citrate) into catheter ports upon treatment completion according to policy. Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Communicate professionally with internal departments and external agencies.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) Current BLS certification Minimum 3 years of dialysis experience
Schedule:
4x10 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM OR 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM 40 hours/week

$26.00 per hour
